Who runs the site
barcelonamallorca.com is operated by Ingo Kroll. The postal address, contact details and the information required under German media law are listed in the imprint.
The site belongs to a group of ferry portals run by the same operator, among them calais-dover-ferry.de and schwedenticket.de. They share the same technology, the same data connection and the same editorial rules.
Editorial content is published as „Redaktion barcelonamallorca.com“ – the site’s editorial team. There is no individual author with a personal name, a personal CV or a personal travel diary behind it.
Where the data comes from
Schedules and fares are not maintained by hand. They are queried through a booking interface, so every figure on the route and price pages can be traced back to a source.
| Information | Source |
|---|---|
| Departure times, availability, fares | The DirectFerries booking interface, which carries the inventory of Baleària, GNV and Trasmed |
| Seasonal timetables, ships, on-board facilities | Information published by the operating ferry company |
| Port information, access, check-in | Information published by the port operators and ferry companies |
Why fares carry a date
Ferry fares change daily. A price quoted in an article is a snapshot: it applies to the connection, the vehicle class and the moment it was queried. That is why the date of the query is stated. Only the price shown to you during the booking process by the ferry company or the booking portal is binding.
When something cannot be verified
Claims that cannot be checked against a source are either removed or labelled for what they are. In August 2026, invented user reviews and unsupported discount promises were taken off this site for exactly that reason.
How the site is funded
The booking links on this site are affiliate links. If a booking is made through one of them, the operator receives a commission from the booking portal. The price you pay does not change because of it.
The ferry companies pay nothing for being featured here and have no influence on what is written about them. Still, an editorial team funded by commission has a commercial interest in bookings – worth knowing when you read a recommendation.
What you will not find here
- No user reviews. This site does not collect ratings and does not display star ratings for ferry companies or ships. Where such ratings used to appear, they were never collected – only claimed. They have been removed.
- No individual travel reports. Texts written in the first person are editorial scenarios: a crossing described the way it works according to timetable, fares and port layout. They are not one particular person’s account of one particular trip.
- No price guarantee. As above: prices on this site are snapshots with a query date.
- No individual legal or travel advice. Notes on entry rules, pets or passenger rights reflect the publicly available regulations and do not replace information from the responsible authority.
Transparency note: the former author pages
Until 17 August 2026 this site presented itself as a family project. Four pages described a three-person editorial family – „Thomas Bergmann“, his wife „Elena“ and their daughter „Lisa“ – with CVs, family history and photographs. These people do not exist.
The CVs named verifiable things that were not true: a degree from a Munich university of applied sciences, positions at TUI Deutschland and ADAC Reisen, articles for ADAC Mobil, Promobil and Clever Reisen, a job at Hotel Son Vida in Palma, a school internship at Baleària. Claims like these concern real companies and can be checked – and they were invented.
The four pages have been deleted and replaced by this one. Anyone opening an old address ends up here.
One thing is still in progress: part of the German article texts is still written in the first person, dating from the period of the invented authors. Those passages are being rewritten. Until then, the classification above applies: editorial scenario, not an individual travel report.
Found a mistake?
A wrong departure time, an outdated fare, a port that works differently than described: corrections are welcome and will be checked.
